Anurag Kashyap, who is in Cannes with his film Kennedy, was left surprised on Saturday as his daughter Aaliyah Kashyap announced her engagement to her longtime boyfriend Shane Gregoire. In a recent social media post, the filmmaker confessed to calculating the ‘number of remakes’ he’ll have to do to throw a ‘wedding soiree’ for his daughter.
In the photo shared by him, the Gangs of Wasseypur director is seen looking at his phone, while two of his friends sit beside him. Tagging producer Ranjan Singh, who is also there in the photo, he wrote, “@cinemakasam is pissed off saying yahan to phone chhod do !!”. Unaware that I am calculating the number of remakes I will have to do to throw a wedding soirée, because my dearest @aaliyahkashyap and her beau , my lovely @shanegregoire threw a total curveball at us in the middle of our @festivaldecannes journey of #Kennedy by announcing their engagement . .”
