A24’s multiversal movie ‘Everything Everywhere All at Once’ was declared the best film and dominated the 95th Academy Awards on Sunday night. The film took home seven Oscars including best picture, director, original screenplay, lead actress, supporting actress, supporting actor and editing. It has become the most-awarded best picture winner since 2008’s ‘Slumdog Millionaire.’
Jimmy Kimmel, who anchored the Academy Awards in 2017 and 2019, returned to host the 95th Oscars and mocked Hollywood star Will Smith for his last year’s infamous slap. “We want you to have fun, feel safe and, most importantly, we want me feel safe,” Kimmel told the audience. “So, we have strict policies in pace. If anyone in this theater commits an act of violence at any point during the show, you will be awarded the Oscar for best actor and permitted to give a 19-minute long speech…”
